i know, i know....

it really has been about 500 years since i have updated...and for that i am really sorry. it is merely a reflection of how stinkin' busy my life is right now! ok- so here is what you have been waiting for:

Beautiful Girl!
Abby got a LEAPSTER...with 2 games. (SpongeBob & The Incredibles)

Ellie & The Itsy Bitsy Spider
Ellie got a DORA SCOOTER...w/Helmet

Lucy Grace got a DORA TALKING DOLL HOUSE & way too many accessories

princess Zoe got a Rocking Horse that makes sounds and a Little Tikes Car. (and she cares very little about either of them at this point b/c they will not fit in her mouth.)

The two other people who live in the house...that would be the mom and dad - got a video chair, cologne and The Complete DVD Set of THE VICAR OF DIBLEY. This is a BBC show that I LOVE...it is hillarious.

I think that we all agree that the best part of our Xmas this year was that we didn't have to travel. We actually relaxed and enjoyed being together and playing on Christmas morning. It was wonderful.

New Year's Eve is tomorrow. I am looking forward to going to church and hearing the message. I am also looking forward to being with family on New Year's Eve. We will be having our annual "Iron Chef" competition. My family vs. My bro's family for the Golden Spatula. We lost last year...but I feeling good about this year!

I'll let you know how it turns out!

Lady in the Water (Widescreen Edition)

Movie Ratings can NOT be trusted.

i know that this is not news to anyone...BUT...i have been waiting to see LADY IN THE WATER for several months. if you know me, you know that i am not a big "movie goer". it really takes alot for me to leave the house and commit to a two hour movie...not sure why...that's just how i am wired. however, i love to rent movies, watch tv shows online, etc. i also am a huge fan of M. Night.

i read many of the reviews that came out about his latest movie. almost all of them scored the movie between a C & F...the highest, i believe, was a B-. we heard this weekend that it would be out today, so greg went and rented it this morning. we just finished watching it.

It was great.

we laughed through the beginning of the movie because, well, it was funny. i did not expect this...but it was really funny. i thought the character development was excellent, for a movie (short amount of time)...and  i thought the acting was GREAT!  if you have seen it...i loved the Korean family...the dynamic with the mother and the "western-ized" daughter.

like all of his movies he brings in a wierd mix of magic, spiritualism and suspense. it was a little creepy...but not enough to be considered "scary".

Also, i asked for book suggestions not too long ago. i read 3 of them : Talk Before Sleep, The Sunday Wife and Letters to Emily.

The Verdict: Letters to Emily...GREAT!!! This would be a great book for a guy or girl. it is really intriguing.   It made me want to be a better parent and wife. it's an easy read. i think i read it in about 2 days. i am just beginning a book called  "The Corrections". It has been a little difficult for me to hear the authors "voice". i am trying to hang in there because i think it is going to be pretty good...it just hasn't captivated me yet.

haven't even begun to wrap gifts yet...only 5 days till christmas eve. I need to get busy.
