(and she cares very little about either of them at this point b/c they will not fit in her mouth.)

The two other people who live in the house...that would be the mom and dad - got a video chair, cologne and The Complete DVD Set of THE VICAR OF DIBLEY. This is a BBC show that I LOVE...it is hillarious.

I think that we all agree that the best part of our Xmas this year was that we didn't have to travel. We actually relaxed and enjoyed being together and playing on Christmas morning. It was wonderful.

New Year's Eve is tomorrow. I am looking forward to going to church and hearing the message. I am also looking forward to being with family on New Year's Eve. We will be having our annual "Iron Chef" competition. My family vs. My bro's family for the Golden Spatula. We lost last year...but I feeling good about this year!

I'll let you know how it turns out!

Movie Ratings can NOT be trusted.

i know that this is not news to anyone...BUT...i have been waiting to see LADY IN THE WATER for several months. if you know me, you know that i am not a big "movie goer". it really takes alot for me to leave the house and commit to a two hour movie...not sure why...that's just how i am wired. however, i love to rent movies, watch tv shows online, etc. i also am a huge fan of M. Night.

i read many of the reviews that came out about his latest movie. almost all of them scored the movie between a C & F...the highest, i believe, was a B-. we heard this weekend that it would be out today, so greg went and rented it this morning. we just finished watching it.

It was great.

we laughed through the beginning of the movie because, well, it was funny. i did not expect this...but it was really funny. i thought the character development was excellent, for a movie (short amount of time)...and i thought the acting was GREAT! if you have seen it...i loved the Korean family...the dynamic with the mother and the "western-ized" daughter.

like all of his movies he brings in a wierd mix of magic, spiritualism and suspense. it was a little creepy...but not enough to be considered "scary".

Also, i asked for book suggestions not too long ago. i read 3 of them : Talk Before Sleep, The Sunday Wife and Letters to Emily.

The Verdict: Letters to Emily...GREAT!!! This would be a great book for a guy or girl. it is really intriguing. It made me want to be a better parent and wife. it's an easy read. i think i read it in about 2 days. i am just beginning a book called "The Corrections". It has been a little difficult for me to hear the authors "voice". i am trying to hang in there because i think it is going to be pretty good...it just hasn't captivated me yet.

haven't even begun to wrap gifts yet...only 5 days till christmas eve. I need to get busy.

I LOVE THIS!

Matt at donovanhouse posted this and I love it! it's free...so listen.

http://www.purevolume.com/promotions/holidaysampler/

ANNIVERSARY!!!

GREG & I WILL BE MARRIED 11 YEARS TOMORROW!! I had been checking online frequently to find out what his James Kim fate would be...would he be found alive ...or dead? Someone posted after my response on Kristen's site and pointed me here: http://sweetjuniper.blogspot.com/2006/12/elegy-for-father.html - very poetic and very true. pray for the Kim family. very sad.

another year...another christmas picture...

FINALLY-

Early to Rise !

Greg left out at 5:00 this morning to go see a church member who was going in for surgery at 7:00, in Dallas. (Hey, this might be a good visitation schedule...go visit prospects at 5:00 a.m....I mean, you might never see them again after that visit...but they would probably be home for that one!) so that gave me a pretty early start, as well. For those of you who do not have children, you might not want to read this. It's 6:30 a.m., Abby and Lucy Grace are in the bath tub...playing. when did i turn the corner where it was no longer "FUN" to have to take a bath and get ready for the day at 6:30 A.M.? Ellie, on the other hand, is sound a sleep...and could, if not for the "noise" sleep until 8:30. Zoe is still sleeping...but that is because she likes to play everynight b/t 1 a.m. & 3 a.m.!
Oh well- it's only a season...and it has already flown with Abby. She is 7, like she's 10 and communicates like she 17. I mean, she will be leaving for college in about 10 years...that is really mind boggeling. If you have kids, you feel that same "tension" that i am feeling, I am sure. We don't have them for long.
Well, time make the oatmeal, drink the coffee, and get into the van...abby will finish up at Greenville Christian School on the 15th of this month. Hopefully our morning will feel a little different not having to "rush" out of the house.
Hope you have a good day!

Today-

Today has been really good. I droped Ellie & Lucy Grace off at Mother's Day Out and Greg took Abby to school. Then Zoe and I went to Community Bible Study at Westminser. Afterwards, Greg, Zoe and I went to Chili's...which was nice because we cut our normal size in half. No "crowd control" was necessary today. We enjoyed being there with just Zoe.

Abby has her school Christmas prodution tonight. She is very excited about it! I'll try to post some pictures of it!

The Lord really impressed some verses on my heart today at CBS that I thought I would post.

Colossians 4:2, "Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison- that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak."

Colossians 3:14, "And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony."

Hopefully everyone is enjoying, and participating in Advent, which means "coming or arriving." We participate eagerly in Advent with our church community and our family. We light candles, sing and pray together that our hearts would (1.)be open to Christ work during this season, (2.)conviction about sin in our lives and (3.)that our hearts would become eager for The Second Advent. It's not too late to get started in celebrating Advent...you can light the Prophet's candle this week. If you have a hard time finding candles, we use 3 purple, 1 pink and a white, look at Dollar Tree. That the only place where I could only find them.

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!

Yeah for winter!
